Overview

George R. Repper was admitted to both the New York Bar and the District of Columbia Bar in 1982. He is admitted to practice before the U.S Patent and Trademark Office, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.  He has more than 30 years of experience in the field of Intellectual Property throughout the world.

Mr. Repper regularly advises and counsels clients on all aspects of Intellectual Property protection, and vigorously represents clients in Intellectual Property disputes.

Mr. Repper has considerable expertise in handling proceedings before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, and has successfully argued numerous appeals.

Mr. Repper has procured patent protection rights for clients around the world, and vehemently defended those rights when challenged.

Mr. Repper also has extensive experience with acquisitions, licensing and contractual agreements.  He is regularly involved in international negotiations, consulting, research and analysis.  He devotes considerable time to working for clients in North America, Europe and South America, and has been intimately involved in formation of new companies on those continents.  His extensive experience in North America, Europe and South America is augmented by his considerable work in obtaining and defending Intellectual Property rights in Asia, Australia, New Zealand and Africa.

Mr. Repper has particular expertise in analyzing patent validity and infringement issues. He regularly advises clients on intellectual property infringement litigation, infringement liability, protection of proprietary information and due diligence.

Mr. Repper's technical background includes extensive experience in the fields of organic chemistry, therapeutic and diagnostic pharmaceuticals, medical devices and equipment, surgical tools, medical and dental implants, prosthetic devices, tissue replacement and guided tissue regeneration technology.

Mr. Repper also has considerable experience working with hydrocarbon extraction technology, deep sea oil and gas withdrawal and control, high security document and identification technology, cutting-edge agricultural and mining equipment, precision optical technology, contaminant reclamation and containment technology, fiber optics, lasers and optical scanning devices, energy exchange technology, audio and video technology, computer technology, and food science.
